One of the things we discussed was how poor all the sources of
techie information about things happening on the Web are. Why not
attempt to fix this...

I've created an email list to which I will forward anything that I
think you might find interesting.

Currently the list just has the three of us on it. Please suggest
anyone else worth adding.

Here's the general information for the list you've
subscribed to, in case you don't already have it:

This is the Free Web Foundation technical mailing list.

The Free Web Foundation is a fictious/virtual organization seeking
to evolve the Web in the public interest. Membership in the FWF
is automatic and isomorphic to sharing in its interests. This list
represents the sole manifestation of the FWF.

We are in need of a high signal to noise source for web tech info.

This list is an attempt to provide it.

It contains a mish-mash of stuff we will steal and repost from

    comp.www.*
    comp.infosystems.*

    uri@bunyip
    name-droppers
    edupage
    p1363
    agents@sun

    w3.org
    Galaxy
    Yahoo
    GNN
    EIT
    Netscape

and elsewhere. This list will only work if we all cooperate in
forwarding useful technical information to it.

Topics appropriate for this list are descriptions, evaluations,
and pointers to new and emerging Web related technologies, as well
the political-economic-corporate-financial environment within which
such technologies will be deployed.

If need be this list will be ruthlessly moderated to try and
maintain a high signal to noise ratio.

Messages for the list should be sent to fwf-tech@base.com
Subscription requests should be sent to fwf-tech-request@base.com
