Well I hope. Due to our incredible subscription rate, we are adding another server. New accounts will all point to this new server. There will be a page going on our Web site soon describing the change over for current members. This also means that for a few days, new members' stats will not be available. Note, though, that the access ARE BEING TRACKED, just the stats will not be online for a few more days. We appreciate your patients and your membership, and let us know if there is anything we can add to the service to make it a more enjoyable experience. -- Paul Colton Internet Audit Bureau http://www.iaudit.com/iaudit/ From iaudit@minet.com Wed Jul 19 19:07:56 1995 Return-Path: X-Uidl: 806205016.000 Subject: Stats for New Accounts... The new server is nearly complete, but for those of you who REALLY want to see some stats now, use the following link: http://g1.iaudit.com/cgi-bin/istats.cmd?account=??????? Making sure to type in your account # in place of the question marks. This only applies to members with account numbers 0001044 or greater. These improvements will benefit you in 3 ways: 1) With the new server we have dramatically increased our ability to serve our existing and new members. If you your account number is 0001045 or less you are still utilizing the old server. (If your account number is 0001046 of greater, then you do have to make any changes.) You will need to move to our new server. To move to the new server just replace your existing iAudit HTML with the lines below. 2) With our new internet link, iAudit will implement redundant internet providers (MCI & Sprintlink) and dramatically increase the volume of traffic we can support. We anticipate this change is be in effect in14 to 21 days. This upgrade will not require any efforts on your part. 3) New, faster and more pertinent statistics. We are creating a new reporting function that will dramatically improve the speed and flexibility of your stats. This should be available in the first couple weeks of August. These upgrades will not cause any loss of service. iAudit will continue to record your stats with no down time. During this upgrade we will continue recording all of your site's information and will lose nothing. You will notice a 6-14 hour lag time in your logs when the new internet connection comes on line. Also all stats will be moved immediately to the new server, so you will experience a 2 to 12 hour lag in your stats until you update your html. To upgrade to the server just replace the existing iAudit html code with the following. Place your account number where you see XXXXXXX (Please check your current HTML to if you do not know your account number, be sure to include ALL zeros at the beginning of the account number.) ***** NEW iAudit CODE ***** Make your visit count, load this image. ***** END OF iAUDIT CODE ***** Remember, even if there appears to be a delay in you stats, we are continuing to capture your stats. Thank you very much for your support in making iAudit a success. After these upgrade iAudit will be implementing many of the great ideas our members have suggested. Like: - graphing - domain exclusion - password protection In addition we will be bringing on-line a whole new selection of features and services. If you have any questions check our "FAQ" and "What's New" page. -- Paul Colton Internet Audit Bureau http://www.iaudit.com/iaudit/ From iaudit@minet.com Mon Jul 24 11:25:11 1995 Return-Path: X-Uidl: 806608672.001 Subject: iAudit Server Changes... X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.4 PL23] Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Length: 1718 Hello iAudit Members, I would like to first appologize for the confusion in our last message. I would like to also clarify what has been happening. When switching machines on the internet, their IP addresses generally change, but no neccesarily their domain name. This is what happened in our case for stats.iaudit.com. What happens, though, is that your internet provider's name server is caching names, and most are not yet updated, therefore, when checking for our url, you get either a wrong or not found page. In order to help this situation out, we have added a new secondary domain name that no name server out there is caching. What this means is that you should be able to find the new server right away, and not experience these connection problems. I appologize again for submitting yet another change, but we are growing very quickly and hope to have a lot of these kinds of problems ironed out shortly. The bottom line: WHO SHOULD USE THE NEW HTML LINES: Everyone WHEN DO THE NEW LINES TAKE EFFECT: Now WHAT ARE THE LATEST LINES: ** START OF iAUDIT HTML LINES ** Make your visit count, load this image. ** END OF iAUDIT HTML LINES ** Most importantly, your stats are being tracked by all of our servers, new or old. Thank you for your support and I WILL try to limit my email in the future. Also, we are adding a new FAQ and What's New page soon, but one pressing question has been the time zone, we are generating all reports in the PACIFIC time zone. -- Paul Colton Internet Audit Bureau http://www.iaudit.com/iaudit/
